In the late ‘80s Marguerite retired from the Boston suburbs to her summer home in the Lakes Region.  Without benefit of formal training she went about trying to capture the beauty and serenity of the older homes and landscapes of the area.  To maintain the old fashion style of her work, she designs and stains all her wood frames to compliment her pictures.  Ms Tanner enjoys weekly workshops with her artist friends over the long winter months.
